It goes without saying that memories of trips and vacations fade with time. That is why keeping a travel journal is so helpful. The journal of your vacation is the place to keep notes of the small things that give color to your trip. It is your journal and that allows you to keep your thoughts on all of the things that are important just to you.

Now, with the advent of blog your travel journal can also serve as a way of sharing your vacation with your family and friends. Your friends will be able to immediately read about your adventures as soon as you’ve written about them. No need to buy stamps or send letters via mail. Your friends and family can subscribe to your blog and they are automatically notified when you make a new entry.

Because blog are web-based, you can make an entry from any location that has access to the Internet. So, what you need is a notebook computer that you can carry along while traveling. Many hotels also offer an Internet terminal that you can use for a few minutes or you can just make a visit to the Internet cafe.

There are many websites where you can post your blog for free. Many of them even allow you to post photos. One of my recommendation is Jurnl.com. Jurnl.com provides blog space and also allows for unlimited photos in your travel journal. You even can update you journal live from your iPhone, that is if you have one.

Keeping a travel journal is incredibly simple. You just write whatever you want. It isn’t necessary to go into great detail if your don’t want to. You shouldn’t worry about your spelling or grammar. The point is to record those things that will trigger the memories of the vacation. As time passes, you’ll be glad you did.
