Some tourist destinations hold an obvious appeal. The pyramids of Egypt or the Eiffel tower in Paris continue to attract visitors year in, year out. And with good reason, as they offer a unique experience to the many holidaymakers who visit them.
The same can also be said of Lanzarote. Its location gives it an enviable climate all year round, with lots of sunshine hours and very little rainfall. It also has a great array of beaches, with some of the most beautiful playas to be found anywhere in Europe.
But its appeal doesn’t end here, as the island is extremely unspoilt and has preserved much of its rural charm despite welcoming thousands of visitors a year for the last forty years. The main resorts are low key and have well developed infrastructures to satisfy the needs of holidaymakers.

The Canary Islands are located just off the coast of Africa. And enjoy a semi-tropical climate – making them an ideal holiday destination all year round.
As a result the islands have become a real hot favourite with visitors from sun starved Northern European nations such as the UK and Germany, attracting around nine million foreign tourists every year.
Lanzarote is the fourth largest of the islands. With a much more arid and barren terrain than the larger, lusher islands of Tenefire and Gran Canaria. This is due to the fact that Lanzarote is located just 100 miles or so away from the western fringes of the Sahara Desert and experiences very little rainfall – around 9mm per month.
But that’s not to say that the island is lacking in beauty. As Lanzarote boasts a great many natural wonders such as the surreal scenery of the Timanfaya Volcano Park as well as a host of great beaches – close to 100 in fact.

Combined through a smorgasbord of arts, culture, gastronomy, attitudes and styles, many reflecting its tremendous history, Spain is a constitution of a variety of original regional societies that today remain as proudly distinct as they are united within the fabric of a single country.
