Whenever you plan to stay at a particular hotel for an extended duration, negotiate the best rate possible with the hotel sales staff. You can usually acquire better rates than regular “corporate” rates.

If you will be working in your hotel room, ask for a room away from the hotel pool area; otherwise, you’ll end up dealing with all the pool disturbance.

How to keep your money secure while traveling? Here’s a few tips for you.

• Bring only as much money you need for the day. Leave the rest in a safe or other secure place.

• If you need to move large amounts of money, ask your partner or a friend to bring some of it for you. The likelihood that bad luck will strike both of you is much less.
